Amber Cove, Dominican Republic

Amber Cove is a modern day, activity filled cruise port located only just 7.5 miles from the historical North Western Puerto Plata. It is relatively new as it opened in 2015 in efforts to expand its Caribbean Cruise itinerary.

It’s building’s designs imitate the Victorian, Colonial and Spanish fortress architectural designs. This gives off an exciting historical vibe about the place. The cruise port has a large shopping area, a giant swimming pool, and swim-up bar, with restaurants and bars.

On the hill looking over the swimming pool area is a bar that sits at the top of the hill called bar360 that gives you a 360-degree panoramic view of Amber Cove. That is where the Zip lines run from, you can soar over the pool area down the line.

Amber cove is an activity-packed cruise port quickly becoming a popular cruise stop destination.
